Counselling and Psychotherapy
Angela Walker (she/her) BA (Hons), PGDip Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy. UKCP (Trainee)
Hi, I’m Angie and it’s lovely to meet you. I’m a Psychotherapist in Advanced Training, working with adults using Transactional Analysis, which means I pay attention to the patterns and dynamics that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. I offer a safe, respectful and collaborative space to explore whatever brings you to therapy.
I understand how daunting it can feel to start therapy. It takes courage to look at the parts of ourselves that we keep hidden and may feel overwhelming or painful. But I also believe that going to the places we fear most can lead to the deepest growth and hold the biggest freedoms.
I work both cognitively and somatically – which means I pay attention not only to thoughts, emotions and patterns of behaviour, but also to what the body might be communicating. This can help bring insight and lasting change at a deep level.
My own life experiences have given me a deeper insight into being a therapist, and my personal therapy journey has shown me what can be achieved with good therapy.
Whether you’re facing relationship issues, anxiety, low self-esteem, past trauma, or just a general sense that something isn’t right, I will meet you with compassion, curiosity and care.
